NOTICE TO BIDDERS OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE HARRISON COUNTY, TEXAS RFP #2018-2 BIDS MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED: RFP# 2018-2 HARRISON COUNTY COURTHOUSE PROJECT Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids for the construction of Exterior Improvement-Brick-New Court House RFP# 2018-2 located in Marshall, Texas will be received by Kendl Russell, Harrison County Purchasing Agent, at the Harrison County Purchasing Department, 200 West Houston Street, 1st Floor, Room 107, Marshall, TX 75670 until 2:00 P.M., CST, MAY 1, 2018, then publicly opened and read aloud in the Purchasing Agents Office, 200 West Houston Street, 1st Floor, Room 107, Harrison County Courthouse, Marshall, Texas, 75670. Note: The Time-Date Stamp Clock located in the Purchasing Department will serve as the OFFICIAL CLOCK for the purpose of verifying the date and time of receipt of Bids. Contract documents including bid proposal forms, plans sheets, and specifications for the Project may be viewed and downloaded free of charge (with the option to purchase copies) at www.civicastusa.com. Scanned plans and specifications (PDF format) are available on CD for a non-refundable price of $50 from KSA Engineers, Inc., 111 Hawn Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana 71107, and Telephone (318) 221-7501. Bids relate to public improvements for Harrison County, Texas (“Owner”). A PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 20, 2018 @ 10:00 A.M. CST, AT THE NEW HARRISON COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 200 W. HOUSTON ST., MARSHALL, TEXAS 75670. THIS PRE-BID CONFERENCE IS MANDATORY. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided, in a sealed envelope, and must be accompanied by a bid security in a penal sum approximately equal to and not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The security may be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond furnished by a reliable surety company having authority under the law of Texas to write surety bonds in the amount required, with such security made payable without recourse to Harrison County. The sealed envelopes shall indicate clearly on the front the following: Bid Documents - BID# 2018-2 Harrison County Courthouse, Due 2:00 p.m., Tuesday May 1, 2018. Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations, all Federal, State, and local regulations for construction safety and health standards, and all state statutes and regulations and local ordinances relating to the performance of construction related services. The successful Bidder must commence work upon issuance by Owner of a written Notice to Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any formality in the Bids received. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty-(60) calendar days after the date on which they are opened. The Owner requires that Substantial Completion for this Project be achieved within 120 calendar days after a Notice to Proceed is issued. END OF DOCUMENT
